Sending Artwork Files to LPS
We are happy to receive your files on disc (CD or DVD) or via email, however a disc requires physical delivery,
and some artwork files are simply to large for email. The easy alternative is FTP.
Liverpool Printing Service FTP
FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. It is a simple way to transfer files via the internet that are either too large or too numerous for email. FTP allows you to easily move files between your computer and the LPS Server. The process is much the same as moving files between directories on any computer or network.
To use FTP, you must have an FTP client - that is software that will communicate between your computer and our server. If you do not have file transfer software, there are many FTP clients available. We use Cute FTP Pro - professional software available for a price from globalscape.com.
However, just as effective for most users, is open-source software such as Coffee Cup FTP, SmartFTP, Filezilla and many others. FTP software can be easily found via your favourite search engine - just search for Free FTP. Most of these programs offer simple 'drag and drop' file transfer once the server connection has been established.
Access to the LPS FTP site.
We are happy to provide our clients access details for our ftp upload site on request. Please contact our office or an LPS representative and details will be forwarded to you.
For clients concerned about privacy or security, please contact us about setting up private FTP account. |
